3D Bowling is exactly what the name says: a lane, ten pins, a ball. You set your position, drag to swing, release, and the pins go down or don't. The first thing I felt was mild relief that it wasn't trying to be more than that. The alley has the familiar look, the kind that makes you want rented shoes and a pretzel.
What keeps you rolling is the aim. The release matters, and you can nudge the ball's direction slightly partway down the lane, which is the one trick the game has and the one worth learning. Three modes: solo, against the computer, and two players on one screen, which is where it's best. A friend, a few frames, some trash talk.
The complaints: it's thin. No tournaments, no unlockable balls, no spin system beyond that nudge, and the computer opponent is beatable once your release is consistent. After ten frames I'd seen everything, and the 2018 web build looks its age.
Play it if you want a calm few minutes of bowling with no menus in the way, or a quick two-player game on a shared screen. Skip it if you want a bowling game with depth; this is an alley with the lights on and nobody else there.

3D Bowling is straightforward ten-pin bowling. You set your position on the lane, choose the direction of the throw and release. The pins fall the way physics says they should, so the split you leave yourself is your own doing.
Frames are quick and there is nothing to learn beyond the aim, which makes it easy to play a few and move on. A little practice pays off fast, as repeat throws start landing where you meant them to. Tips for more strikes
- Aim for the pocket, not the head pin. Hit just beside the front pin, right of center if you're rolling straight. Dead center leaves the dreaded split.
- Use the nudge late, not early. The mid-lane steer works best as a small correction in the last third of the lane. Early nudges overcorrect.
- Same spot, same swing. Once a throw strikes, don't move. The game rewards repetition more than any bowling game I've played.
- Slow the release. A fast drag sends the ball wide. A steady pull and clean release keeps it on line.
- Play two players for the fun. The computer is beatable; a friend isn't. Pass the phone or share the mouse and the game gets a second life.
3D Bowling vs Wii Sports bowling
Wii Sports is the bowling game most people have in their hands' memory, and 3D Bowling is a much smaller thing. Wii Sports had the swing, the spin, the crowd and the training games; this has a drag, a release and a small nudge. What it shares is the pleasure of a strike, which survives even a bare-bones version. The honest comparison is a bowling alley's own arcade cabinet: it does the job, it's fine for a few frames with a friend, and nobody would call it their favorite game. If you're looking for the deeper phone bowling games, this isn't one; if you want ten frames now, it is.
Is this the same as Galaxy 3D Bowling or Bowling Crew?
No. 3D Bowling is a name shared by a lot of games, and the ones people search for alongside it, Galaxy Bowling, Bowling Crew, My Bowling 3D, are different products with their own developers. The game here is Famobi's 3D Bowling, the browser game that's been on CrazyGames since July 2018. The App Store listing you'll find under a similar name is from a different seller, and I wouldn't treat it as the same game. If you want the Famobi one, this is it, running inside YouTube with nothing to install.
