Build a Queen is a runner where nothing tries to kill you. Your character walks down a track lined with gates, each offering two options: this hairstyle or that one, this dress or the other. You steer through the one you want and it sticks. The first thing I felt was relief; after a week of runners that wanted my thumbs, this one wanted an opinion.
The loop is the reveal. Every pick builds toward the finish, where your queen walks the catwalk against a rival and the look you assembled gets judged. So a run is really a two-minute question: did these choices add up to an outfit, or did I grab the shiny thing at every gate? The App Store version calls these fashion battles, which is about right. New clothes unlock as you go.
The honest downside is that the judging is loose. I won runs with looks I'd never defend and lost one I liked, with no explanation either way. Runs also blur together; it's the same corridor every time and only the gates change. If you don't care about the outfit, there's nothing else here.
Play it if you like dress-up games and want something faster than a wardrobe screen. Skip it if you came for a race, whatever the genre label says.

Tips for winning the catwalk
- Decide the look at the first gate. Pick a direction early, glam or sporty or whatever the first choice suggests, and stay with it. Mixed runs are the ones I lost.
- Skip the shiny thing. The flashier option is not automatically the better one. If it doesn't match what you've already picked, it's a downgrade.
- Commit before the gate. Sliding at the last second sometimes clips the wrong side. Move as soon as you can read both options.
- Treat it as a break, not a grind. Two or three runs is the right dose. After that the corridor starts to feel like a corridor.
Build a Queen vs Fashion Battle
Both end on a catwalk and both are about assembling an outfit under mild pressure, but they're built differently. Build a Queen is a runner: you walk a track and choose between two options at each gate, so every pick is a fork in the road. Fashion Battle stops your model at prompts along the runway and offers three items, with a theme to match.
