Tap groups of matching animal cubes to clear the board
3:29A tap-the-group animal matcher that's fine for five minutes and shows its seams right after.

Zoo Boom is a tap-to-clear puzzle: a grid of animal cubes, and any two or more of the same animal touching disappear when you tap them. The rest slide down. It's Toon Blast without the toons, and I had the whole system figured out before the tutorial finished explaining it.
The structure is level goals. One round wants a set number of one animal collected, the next wants a count of tiles cleared, and matching five or more spawns a special tile, the skunk being the one you'll see most, that clears a big chunk of the board. Chasing the three-star finish is where the little skill there is lives: it's about setting up one big group instead of tapping pairs.
Complaints: this is the thinnest game in its family. The goals repeat, the boards blur together, and the difficulty comes from the random deal more than from anything you did. When a level goes wrong the shop is there with boosters, and the game isn't subtle about it. Players on CrazyGames give it 6.8 out of 10, and I think that's about right.
Play it if you want a bright, no-reading matcher for a child or a bored minute. Skip it if you already have Toon Blast; this doesn't do anything it doesn't.

Zoo Boom is a cube-matching puzzle with animal tiles. You clear the board by matching groups of the same animal, and the stack shifts down as blocks disappear, which sets up the next match for you.
The board is easy to read and every tap gives immediate feedback, so it works as a few-minute distraction rather than a long sitting. It runs free inside YouTube with nothing to install, which suits a short break or a younger player who wants colour and quick results without reading instructions first.
How to play: Tap a group of touching cubes of the same animal to clear them.
Good for: kids, short breaks, casual puzzle fans
Pairs are a trap: the special tiles come from groups of five or more, so the good move is the one that lets small groups grow into a big one.
Toon Blast is the game Zoo Boom is standing next to. Same tap-a-group mechanic, same level goals, same special pieces from bigger matches. The difference is scale: Toon Blast has years of levels, events, teams and a big ramp of board gimmicks; Zoo Boom has a stack of small boards and a shop. That's a mark against it if you want a long campaign, and a mark for it if you don't want the layers. The YouTube version has no account beyond YouTube and nothing to install, which is the one thing it does that Toon Blast can't. If you've never played a blast game, it's a decent first one.
Yes, as far as I can tell. Famobi's Zoo Boom is the game that shows up on AARP, MSN and the other portals, and the YouTube version credits the same studio. The difference is the wrapper: on YouTube it runs inside youtube.com, so there's no portal account, no separate download, and it opens on a phone through the YouTube app. If you've been playing it on a news site and want it in your pocket, this is the version to bookmark.
Public play counts for Zoo Boom are re-counted every day from the YouTube Playables catalog and shown the way YouTube shows them. The total and rankings above are as of 2026-10-10.

Elsewhere: 6.8/10 (443 votes) on CrazyGames
The TubeGames rating is our estimate, not a vote. It combines public ratings of the same game elsewhere (CrazyGames 6.8/10 (443 votes)) with how it holds up on YouTube Playables: how many people play it and whether they keep playing weeks after launch. Once 10 players rate Zoo Boom here, their average becomes the headline score.
