Arrows: Puzzle Escape gives you a grid full of arrows and one rule: tap an arrow and it flies off in the direction it points, unless something is in the way. Clear the whole grid and you are done. My first thought was that this was Unblock Me with fewer moving parts, and that is about right, except the boards get tangled in a way that took me a few levels to respect.
The loop is quick. A grid takes anywhere from twenty seconds to a couple of minutes, and a failed attempt shows you exactly which arrow was blocking what, so the next try is smarter, not just luckier. The grids stay small enough to read at a glance on a phone, and the early levels teach the two or three patterns you will see for the rest of the game.
Complaints: it is new on YouTube and light on extras, so there is no hint system to lean on and no real reason to replay a solved grid. Some middle levels are solvable by trial and error, which flattens the thinking. And I would like a count of how many levels are left, since the game does not tell you.
Play it if you like logic puzzles that fit in a coffee break and give you a small win every minute. Skip it if you want a story, a timer or anything beyond the grid.

Tips for the tangled grids
- Start from the edges. Arrows pointing outward from the border are always free. Clearing them opens lanes for the ones inside.
- Follow the chain backward. Pick the arrow you want gone, see what blocks it, then what blocks that. The end of the chain is your first tap.
- Do not tap to test. On the harder grids a tap you cannot take back can lock a lane. Trace it with your eye first, then commit.
- Watch for two arrows facing each other. Neither can leave until something else moves. Solve around that pair last.
- Restart early. If three arrows are boxed in with no free neighbor, you have already lost the grid. Restarting costs a second.
Arrows: Puzzle Escape vs Unblock Me
Unblock Me and the Rush Hour family ask you to slide one red block out through a crowd. Arrows flips that around: every piece has to leave, and each one only moves in its own direction. That makes it less about one clever slide and more about sequencing, which I found more relaxing, since you are never stuck on a single insight. It is also faster. An Unblock Me hard board can eat five minutes; an Arrows grid rarely does. If you enjoy the sliding-block puzzles but wish they were snappier, this is the version you want.
Is Arrows: Puzzle Escape free to play online?
Yes. The copy on YouTube Playables runs in the browser or the YouTube app with nothing to download and no store account.
