Hexa Stack is a color-sorting puzzle from SOFTGAMES. You pick up a stack of hexagon tiles, drop it next to tiles of the same color, and when enough matching hexes touch they merge and clear. The first thing I felt was the click: every merge lands with a soft snap, and ten minutes in my thumb was moving on its own.
What keeps you going is the layering. Most stacks carry more than one color, so clearing the top reveals a new one underneath, and a well-placed drop sets off two or three merges in a row. Each level has a goal to hit before the board runs out of room, and the board tightens as new colors and blockers arrive. The store listings talk about thousands of levels; it never felt close to running out.
The complaints are mild. It sits very close to Hexa Sort in feel, so if you burned out on that, this won't read as new. Later boards lean on the luck of the draw, and a run of wrong colors can sink a board you played well.
Play it if you like sorting puzzles with a target each round. Skip it if you want pressure; there's no timer here.

Hexa Stack is a colour-sorting puzzle on a hex board. You stack and match tiles by colour to clear them, and every level sets a goal you need to reach before the board runs out of space.
The rules take seconds to pick up, but the boards tighten as the goals get bigger, so it stays a game of decisions rather than reflexes. It plays inside YouTube with no install, which makes a level or two easy to fit in. Good for puzzle players who like sorting and stacking with a clear target each round.
How to play: Drag tiles onto the board to stack matching colours together and clear them.
Good for: puzzle fans, short sessions
Look at the color under the top layer before you place, because that is what triggers the chain.
If you've played Hexa Sort, you know this game already. Same hex board, same lift-a-stack-and-drop-it-beside-a-match move, same merge-and-clear payoff. Hexa Stack's twist, as far as I can tell, is the level goal: each board has a target to hit before space runs out, so you're managing toward a number rather than just surviving. It also leans harder on blockers later on.
In feel it's a shade calmer than Hexa Sort, with a softer sound on every merge, and the App Store version is rated 4.7 across more than 3,000 ratings, so plenty of people are happy with the copy.
Searches for Hexa Stack often mention MSN, and CrazyGames lists it too, with an 8.6 from more than 3,500 votes. It's the same SOFTGAMES game wherever you meet it. The version inside YouTube needs nothing installed, which makes it the easiest place to play a level on a phone between videos. If you started on another portal, don't expect your progress to follow you from one to the other; each version keeps its own, and starting over here costs nothing.
Public play counts for Hexa Stack are re-counted every day from the YouTube Playables catalog and shown the way YouTube shows them. The total and rankings above are as of 2026-10-10.

The TubeGames rating is our estimate, not a vote. It combines public ratings of the same game elsewhere (App Store 4.7★ (3,245 ratings), CrazyGames 8.6/10 (3,571 votes)) with how it holds up on YouTube Playables: how many people play it and whether they keep playing weeks after launch.
