Drop a bouncing ball down a spiral tower without hitting the wrong tile
5:59The tower-drop game that spawned a hundred clones, still the best of them, and it runs fine in a tab.

Helix Jump is a ball bouncing down a spiral tower. The ball bounces on its own; you rotate the tower under it so it drops through the gap in each platform, and if it lands on a red section, that's the run. The first thing I felt was the rhythm, bounce, turn, drop, and the way a clean fall through several floors turned the ball into a fireball.
The loop is chasing depth. Falls are seconds, restarts instant, and every run is a slightly longer version of the last until it isn't. The trick is the combo: clear three platforms in quick succession and the ball is invincible for its next bounce. That's where the real scores come from. Missions on the side hand out coins, and the web listing counts 27 skins to spend them on.
The complaints: it's a 2018 game and feels it. The skins change nothing, the missions are busywork, and there's no end, just a score. On a phone the rotation is fine; on desktop, a mouse drag feels numb, and the A and D keys are better.
Play it if you want a one-minute game with a proper score chase and don't need it to mean anything. Skip it if you've played the hundred clones already; this is the original, but it's also the same game.

Helix Jump is about getting a ball to the bottom of a tower. The ball bounces on its own; you rotate the spiral of platforms beneath it to line up the gaps. Land it on the wrong section and the run is over, so the game is really about timing a rotation.
A run takes seconds and restarts immediately, which makes it a natural high-score game. The deeper the ball falls, the less time you have to think about the next gap. It plays free inside YouTube with no download. Good for filling a couple of minutes.
How to play: Drag left or right to rotate the tower so the ball drops through the gaps.
Good for: very short breaks, high-score chasers
The ball's bounce is fixed, so you're really timing a rotation to the bounce, and the combo rewards you for not stopping to be safe.
Stack Ball is the one people confuse with this, and they're mirror images. In Helix Jump you rotate the tower and the ball bounces on its own; in Stack Ball you hold to make the ball smash straight down through platforms and release before it hits a black one. Helix Jump is about timing a turn; Stack Ball is about timing a release. Both reward being greedy with a fireball. I find Helix Jump the more thoughtful of the two, because you can see the next gap and plan, while Stack Ball is a reflex. If you like the planning, this. If you want to hold a button and feel powerful, Stack Ball.
The version here runs inside youtube.com, so it usually opens where games sites are filtered; if YouTube itself is blocked, nothing helps. The Helix Jump you find on Khan Academy is a user-made remake in its coding sandbox, which is a fine coding exercise and a rough game: no missions, no skins, and physics that only roughly match. This is Voodoo's own, with nothing to download. It's been on the App Store since February 2018 and is one of the biggest hits of that whole era, with 1.5 million ratings there.
Public play counts for Helix Jump are re-counted every day from the YouTube Playables catalog and shown the way YouTube shows them. The total and rankings above are as of 2026-10-10.

The TubeGames rating is our estimate, not a vote. It combines public ratings of the same game elsewhere (App Store 4.6★ (1,511,301 ratings), CrazyGames 8.4/10 (5,213 votes)) with how it holds up on YouTube Playables: how many people play it and whether they keep playing weeks after launch. Once 10 players rate Helix Jump here, their average becomes the headline score.
