A block puzzle with the elements as its theme
3:22Block Blast with fire and water on the tiles; a clean board puzzle that ends exactly when you get greedy.

Element Blocks is a drag-the-shape block puzzle. You get pieces, you place them on a grid, and full rows or columns clear. Nothing falls and there's no clock; it ends only when no piece fits. The elements are a coat of paint, glowing tiles on a stormy board, a nice coat, but paint. My first board lasted about four minutes and ended the way they all do, with a long bar and nowhere to put it.
What keeps you going is seeing the next pieces. Because you know what's coming, it's placement rather than lottery: leave the corner for the L, keep a column open for the bar. Multi-line clears pay extra, and stars you collect unlock power-ups, so a good board isn't just longer, it's worth more. Achievements sit on top for completionists.
Complaints. It's a genre with a hundred copies, and beyond the look this one doesn't change the formula. The power-ups make me uneasy; a puzzle that ends when the board is full loses something when a button can clear it. Late in a long game the pieces seem to know which hole you left.
Play it if you want the Block Blast loop with a prettier board and nothing to install. Skip it if you already have a block puzzle you like; this won't replace it.

Element Blocks is a puzzle game built around placing and clearing blocks, with the elements running through its look. Each move changes what fits next, so the board rewards thinking a placement or two ahead instead of filling the first gap you see.
It is a short-session game by nature: pick it up, clear a board, put it down again. Nothing carries over from one sitting to the next except how well you read a board. Free inside YouTube with no download and no setup.
Good for: quick puzzle breaks
Only complete lines clear and nothing falls, so an empty corner you keep open is worth more than a filled row you can't finish.
If you've played Block Blast, you already know how to play Element Blocks: same grid, same three-piece tray, same rule that only full lines clear. What's different is around the edges. Element Blocks shows you what's coming, so there's more planning and less praying, and it layers stars, power-ups and achievements over the score, where Block Blast is purer and more punishing. The look is the other difference: glowing element tiles against a stormy board instead of candy colors. I'd call it a draw on the actual puzzle. Pick by whether you want the safety net of a power-up or not.
Element Blocks is a Famobi game, and Famobi's puzzles turn up on a lot of portals, so if you've played it on MSN or through GameSnacks you'll recognize it immediately. The YouTube copy is the same block puzzle with the convenience of living on youtube.com: nothing to install, and it tends to open on networks where game portals are filtered. If YouTube itself is blocked for you, no version will load.
Public play counts for Element Blocks are re-counted every day from the YouTube Playables catalog and shown the way YouTube shows them. The total and rankings above are as of 2026-10-10.

The TubeGames rating is our estimate, not a vote. It combines how it holds up on YouTube Playables: how many people play it and whether they keep playing weeks after launch. Once 10 players rate Element Blocks here, their average becomes the headline score.
