Fill a canvas stitch by stitch and watch the picture appear
4:05Paint-by-number with a needle: calm, repetitive, and hard to stop once a picture starts showing.

Cross-Stitch Masters is TAPCLAP's embroidery game, on YouTube since Feb 10, 2026. You get a gridded canvas, a palette of numbered colors, and you fill the squares until a picture appears. The first thing I felt was not much, which is the point; ten minutes in I looked up and half a picture had appeared under my thumb.
The loop is the one every color-by-number game runs on, and it works here because a cross-stitch canvas looks like real thread. Each color fills a scattered set of squares, so you pick one, hunt the marked cells, and watch the image resolve one shade at a time. The last few colors are the payoff, when the picture snaps into focus.
It's thin as a game. There's no challenge and no fail state, and big canvases turn into long hunts for the last three squares. The App Store description sells it to fans of nonograms and jigsaws; it has far less brain in it than either.
Play it if you want something to do with your hands while a video plays. Skip it if you need a puzzle.

Cross-Stitch Masters turns embroidery into a game. You work across a gridded canvas placing coloured stitches into the right squares, and the picture builds up square by square until the pattern is finished.
It is steady, repetitive work with a payoff at the end, closer to colour-by-number than to anything arcade. That makes it easy to leave and come back to later, and it plays inside YouTube free with no install. Good if you want something calm to occupy your hands while you listen to something else.
How to play: Pick a colour and tap the marked squares to place each stitch.
Good for: relaxing sessions, colour-by-number fans
The picture only reads at the end, so the enjoyment is the stitching, not the reveal; if that sounds dull, it will be.
Happy Color is the paint-by-number everyone knows: tap a region, it fills. Cross-Stitch Masters is the same loop with a grid instead of regions, so every square is its own tap and the finished picture looks stitched rather than painted. That makes it slower and, for me, more soothing; there's a rhythm to filling a row that a big single-tap region doesn't have.
It also makes big canvases a longer haul. If you want to see a picture appear quickly, Happy Color. If you want the process, this.
You may have met Cross-Stitch Masters on Facebook or in the App Store, where it's been since 2020 and sits at 4.6 stars. The version inside YouTube is the same TAPCLAP game with nothing to install: pick a canvas, pick a color, stitch. I didn't try to move a half-finished canvas across, and I wouldn't count on it; each version keeps its own progress. The upside is that a fresh start here costs nothing and takes seconds.
Public play counts for Cross-Stitch Masters are re-counted every day from the YouTube Playables catalog and shown the way YouTube shows them. The total and rankings above are as of 2026-10-10.

Elsewhere: 4.6★ (803 ratings) on App Store
The TubeGames rating is our estimate, not a vote. It combines public ratings of the same game elsewhere (App Store 4.6★ (803 ratings)) with how it holds up on YouTube Playables: how many people play it and whether they keep playing weeks after launch. Once 10 players rate Cross-Stitch Masters here, their average becomes the headline score.
