Countries of the World Quiz is Sporcle's classic geography test in collectible form. Each country you identify correctly goes into your collection, and the first thing I felt was mild shame: a Pacific island nation I would have sworn I knew came up, and my brain went blank for a good five seconds.
The loop is a drill, and it works the way drills work. The countries you nail go quiet, the ones you miss keep coming back, and after two or three rounds you have a very specific list of gaps. For me it was the small island states and about half of the Caribbean. Achievements sit on top of the full map, so once you've collected everything there is still something to chase, and a round fits into the time it takes to boil water.
It's a quiz, not a game with a plot, so if you don't care about geography there's nothing here to convert you. There is no story, no power-up, no surprise: the second session looks like the first, only you know more. Runs of easy countries feel flat.
Play it if you like Sporcle, JetPunk or any map quiz and want one that runs on your phone without an app. Skip it if 'geography' makes you think of homework; nothing here will change that.
Collect all the countries of the world by correctly identifying each country in this fun quiz game! Can you complete all the achievements?

Countries of the World Quiz asks you to identify countries and collect them as you get them right. It is the classic geography drill in game form, and the ones you keep forgetting stand out fast.
Achievements give you something to chase past the first full map, and a round fits into a few minutes. It plays free inside YouTube with no download, which makes it easy to come back and beat your last attempt.
How to play: Identify each country as it comes up to add it to your collection.
Good for: geography fans, quiz players
The collection format flips the usual quiz on its head: instead of one score you get a growing list, so the missing countries become the game.
JetPunk's countries quiz is the one most people have in a tab at school: type names against a timer and watch the map fill in. Sporcle's game here trades the clock for a collection. You identify countries one at a time, keep the ones you get right, and the achievements are the long game. That makes it slower and more forgiving, which suits a phone better than a frantic typing sprint.
If you want the adrenaline of beating your best time, JetPunk still wins. If you want to actually learn the ones you keep missing, the collection format is better at showing you exactly where your gaps are.
