The path is the puzzle: two wings can be identical and still unconnectable, so read the lanes, not the pictures.

1. Clear from the outside in. Edge tiles have open lanes. Use them first and the inside pairs inherit those lanes.
2. Count the turns before you tap. Trace the path with your eye. If it needs three corners it won't work, and a wasted tap costs you time.
3. Look for straight lines first. Two matches in the same row or column with nothing between them are the cheapest pairs on the board.
4. Save the easy pairs. If a pair is obviously connectable, it will still be connectable later. Spend the effort on ones about to get boxed in.
5. Open a lane, then use it. Clearing one pair often opens a corridor for two more. Look at what changed before you move on.

Same rule, different pictures. Mahjong Connect and Onet pair identical tiles when a path with two turns or fewer links them; Butterfly Kyodai does exactly that with butterfly wings. Wings are easier to tell apart than mahjong tiles, which makes scanning faster, and the board clears in the same waves. If you've played either, you'll be good at this in one game.

The main difference is mood: the butterfly art is softer, and the whole thing feels more like a screensaver than a tile game. Whether that's better is taste.

I can't tell you which suffix matches which build elsewhere; what I can tell you is that the core here is the classic one, and if you liked any version, this plays like it.
