Escape the asylum and outrun the cops as Angry Gran
4:17A runner from 2012 with a gran on the loose; dumb in the best way and still quick to play.

Angry Gran Run is AceViral's endless runner, on the App Store since 2012 and on YouTube since May 22, 2026. Gran busts out of the Angry Asylum and you steer her through the city, dodging cars and buses, bashing bots for their coins, and staying ahead of Fred, the agent in white. The first thing I felt was a laugh; she runs like she's late for something.
The loop is the Temple Run one, and the extras are where the personality lives: costumes from a 70s hippy gran to a penguin, power-ups like bullet-time and shields, and the store listing's promise of aliens and dinosaurs among the obstacles. Runs last a minute or two, coins buy the next silly thing, and that's enough to keep the restarts coming.
It's old. The 3D looks its age, the city loops sooner than you'd like, and once the joke of the gran wears off you're left with a runner that does nothing Subway Surfers doesn't.
Play it if you want a runner with a sense of humor and a minute to spare. Skip it if you've moved on from 2012-era runners.
Dash, dodge, and smash through the city as Angry Gran! Escape the asylum, outrun cops, and cause chaos in this fast, funny endless runner.

Angry Gran Run is an endless runner with a comic streak. Your gran breaks out of the asylum and tears through the city, dodging what is in her lane, smashing through the rest and staying ahead of the police behind her.
The pace is quick and the humour carries it - the further you get, the more chaos you leave in your wake. It runs inside YouTube free with no install, so a run takes about a minute. Good for anyone who wants a runner that does not take itself seriously.
How to play: Swipe to change lanes, jump and slide as you run through the city.
Good for: quick sessions, endless runner fans
Bots aren't obstacles, they're coins with legs: aim for them.
The App Store text literally tells you to forget the temple and the subway, so the comparison is invited. Mechanically it's the same lane-swipe-jump-slide loop as both, with a city instead of a jungle or a rail yard. What it has that they don't is Gran, and the willingness to be stupid: a penguin costume, bots to bash, aliens and dinosaurs promised among the obstacles.
What it lacks is polish; Subway Surfers is smoother and Temple Run's turns are tenser. Pick this one for the character, the others for the running.
Inside YouTube there's nothing to install; the game loads and Gran is off. The App Store version has been around since 2012 and promises offline play and a new city each month. I can't confirm the YouTube build rotates cities the same way; New York and Rome are the ones the listing names. Treat this as the quick way to play, and the app as the fuller one, and don't expect coins to carry from one to the other.
Public play counts for Angry Gran Run are re-counted every day from the YouTube Playables catalog and shown the way YouTube shows them. The total and rankings above are as of 2026-10-10.

The TubeGames rating is our estimate, not a vote. It combines public ratings of the same game elsewhere (App Store 4.7★ (19,140 ratings)) with how it holds up on YouTube Playables: how many people play it and whether they keep playing weeks after launch. Once 10 players rate Angry Gran Run here, their average becomes the headline score.
